Autumn Harvest Orchard, LLC is an USDA Organic Certified orchard, vegetable farm and apiary. We follow all USDA rules for naturally grown organic agriculture. This means that we use farming practices that promote healthy soils, reduce pests and protect our environment. Our goal is to produce the highest quality, freshest, local, naturally grown produce for local residents in western Connecticut.

We employ Integrated Pest Management, a system whereby farmers familiarize themselves with the life cycles of pests and control them with the least possible hazard to the environment. What we don’t know we consult with the entomologists at Cornell University, University of Connecticut and the extension services, take seminars on plant ecology, Good Agricultural Practices or food safety and understanding soil testing.

Our produce is all USDA Organic Certified, grown naturally and we ensure that all our fruits and vegetables are harvested and handled hygienically from the field to the consumer. Whenever possible, we use eco-friendly packaging like cornstarch bags and sugarcane containers for the raspberries and blueberries.

USDA Certified Organic recognizes farmers and beekeepers who cultivate food, flowers, and fiber in ways that honor natural systems and protect ecological balance. This certification reflects a commitment to working with the land rather than relying on synthetic chemicals or genetically modified organisms.
